Mix Media Artist- Jennifer Meadows
Coasters have a slight variance in each piece but use all the same colors.
I am Jennifer Meadows, a 38 year old self-taught mixed media artist who also works full-time in the Tupelo Public School District. Originally from Columbus, MS, I have called Tupelo my home for almost 20 years.
I’ve been making art all of my life but really settled into my style a decade ago. I love color and lots of it, also using vintage and found items in my art - papers, tape measures, game pieces, rocks, etc. I incorporate fabrics, metal, wood, paints, and inks to create clean, layered designs for one-of-a-kind pieces.
I began taking part in arts festivals in 2013. I've grown from participating in one-day, local events to multi-day, adjudicated regional arts festivals including the Jerry Brown Arts Festival (Hamilton, AL), GumTree Festival (Tupelo, Ms), Arts Alive (Florence, AL), and the Prairie Arts Festival (West Point, MS). At the 2016 Masterpieces and Mimosas - now known as Robins Street Art Stroll - in Tupelo, I was awarded Best in Show. I am the featured artist for the 2020 Prairie Arts Festival.
My art is available in two shops in Tupelo and one in Fulton. And I’ve recently started leading art classes at Farmhouse Tupelo.
MADE IN TUPELO, MISSISSIPPI.
